Mitchell T. Compton
Mitchell T. Compton is the President and CEO of Tyco Property Mgmt. Co. He grew up in Chula Vista and attended Castle Park High School. Mitch served (4) years in the Navy and is a Vietnam Veteran. After his service, Mitch attended the University of San Diego where he obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management in 1976, and his Real Estate License that same year. Mitch received his Brokers License in 1978. In 1984 Mitch Compton was awarded the prestigious C.P.M. Designation (Certified Property Manager) by the Institute of Real Estate Management. Mitch is a member of the National Association of Realtors, the California Association of Realtors where he served as a State Director, Nominating Committee, and Regional Vice President. Mitch Compton is a past President of the Pacific Southwest Association of Realtors (P.S.A.R) serving on, and chairing numerous committees including the Landlord/Tenant Committee, and Professional Standards. He was named Realtor of the year in 1996.
Mitch has been an instructor teaching a course in apartment management. He is involved in many community projects and is a member of the Chula Vista Chamber of Commerce, and the Chula Vista Rotary Club where he received the Distinguished Service Award for 1999 & 2000 and was named a Paul Harris Fellow in 2009.
Marshall "Ty" Compton
(1924-2012)
Marshall “Ty” Compton founded Tyco Property Mgmt. Co. He attended Dana College in Blair, Nebraska. Ty Compton served during World War II as a Naval Aviator. Ty Compton held a California Real Estate license since 1966. Ty Compton was a member of the National Association of Realtors and the California Association of Realtors where he served as State Director, Regional Vice-President, and on the Finance Committee. As a member of the Pacific Southwest Association of Realtors (P.S.A.R.) he was extremely active serving as chairman of virtually every committee including Budget, Finance, MLS, Ethics, and Professional Standards. Ty Compton was a past President of the Pacific Southwest Association of Realtors, was Realtor of the Year in 1989, and was made Honorary Life Member in 1991. Ty Compton was a two-time president of the Chula Vista Chamber of Commerce, served on the Economic Development Commission for the City of Chula Vista, and the Chula Vista Board of Appeals. He also served as Chula Vista Representative/Commissioner on the San Diego Unified Port District.
